A 22 minute play which includes 7 songs, "The Golden Egg" narrates the story of a chicken which lays a big golden egg. All little chicks are happy with this extra-ordinary egg, but unfortunately, the wicked witch becomes also aware of it and starts plotting to take it for herself. The mother hen refuses stubbornly to hand it over which drives the witch to starve the mom and her little chicks in an effort to break her defenses.
The story shows how, with her resilience and patience, the mother hen refuses to compromise her rights and fights for her survival and that of her children until she wins over and kicks the witch out of the farm.
This CD also holds the recording of a second play "The Black Crow".
