A 75 minute play which includes 18 songs, "The Pearls of Grenade " talks about a city flooded with cars and high buildings, barely leaving any green space. Kids dream of gardens and trips. Because of the city's polluted environment, Hamed gets sick and doctors fail in curing him.

Suddently, an old woman appears to Leila, Hamed's friend, telling her that the only cure for Hamed are grenade seeds available in the city. Leila undertakes a long journey during which she relentlessly looks for the only remaining grenade tree. In a series of adventures, Leila reaches the tree and pulls out a cone just before the tree gets pulled out by a tractor.
